Camp Jinka is a free summer program for kids and teens whose lives have been impacted by loss. Children attending camp have a parent who is battling an illness or has passed away. This unique camp offers creative indoor and outdoor activities while encouraging expression and connection with others having a similar life experience. For ten years Camp Jinka has focused on children whose parents were diagnosed or passed from a brain tumor and other cancers. We have expanded to include children who have a chronically ill parent or a deceased parent from other diseases, sudden death, drug overdose, suicide, mental illness, active military duty or violent crime.
